Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data I collect when you visit arthur.design, subscribe to the newsletter or buy a template, why I collect it, and what rights you have over it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is Arthur Duchesne, entrepreneur individuel, 1 rue Saglio, 67100 Strasbourg, France (SIREN 894 053 743).

You can reach me at any time at contact@arthur.design for anything related to your personal data.

2. Newsletter

When you subscribe through the form on this site, I collect your first name and your email address. Nothing else, and only what you type in.

I use them to send you news about new template releases, occasional offers and the discount promised at sign-up.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to contact@arthur.design. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails already sent.

3. Template purchases

Templates are sold through Polar. Polar Software, Inc. acts as the merchant of record, which means that legally it is Polar — not me — that sells the template to you, and Polar’s Buyer Terms govern that purchase, including payment, invoicing, VAT and refunds.

Polar collects the data needed to complete the sale, including your name, email address, billing country and payment details. I never see or store your card details. From Polar I receive only what I need to deliver the template and support you afterwards: essentially your email address and the product you bought.

Legal basis: performance of the contract for the delivery and support of your template, my legitimate interest in assisting customers, and compliance with a legal obligation for my own accounting records.

4. Support and contact

If you write to me by email or through the support page, I process what you send me for as long as it takes to answer you properly.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in responding to the people who contact me.

5. Audience measurement

This site uses Framer’s built-in analytics. It is cookie-less: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser’s local storage, and does not build a persistent identifier for you. It only produces aggregated figures such as page views and referring sites.

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no session-recording tool on this site.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, balanced against the fact that no individual tracking takes place.

6. Who your data is shared with

I do not sell your personal data and I do not share it for advertising. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run this site:

Framer B.V. (Netherlands) — website hosting, form infrastructure and aggregated analytics.

Loops (United States) — newsletter storage and delivery.

Polar Software, Inc. (United States) — sale, payment processing and invoicing, acting as merchant of record and therefore as an independent controller for that sale.

Framer and Loops act as processors on my behalf. Polar acts as an independent controller for the sale it makes as merchant of record.

7. Transfers outside the European Union

Loops and Polar both process data in the United States. Polar Software, Inc. relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, together with additional safeguards agreed with the recipient. Loops, operated by Astrodon Corporation, commits in its Data Processing Agreement to appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses; all of its sub-processors are located in the United States.

Both agreements are accepted as part of using these services. You can consult them directly in Polar’s privacy policy and in Loops’ Data Processing Agreement and sub-processor list.

8. How long data is kept

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, and deleted within 30 days after that.

Purchase records received from Polar: kept for up to 10 years, in line with French accounting obligations. Polar keeps its own sales records as the seller.

Support messages: up to 3 years after our last exchange.

Analytics: aggregated figures only, with no personal data retained.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time.

Write to contact@arthur.design and I will answer within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at www.cnil.fr.

10. Cookies

This site does not currently use any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Only cookies strictly necessary for the site to work may be set.

If I add a tool that requires cookies later, this policy will be updated and your consent will be collected before that tool loads.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the newsletter list and order data is protected by individual accounts with the providers listed above, and I keep the number of people with access to a minimum — currently just me.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes affecting the newsletter will also be announced by email.
